For the meatballs
350 grams mixed Ground meat
1 egg
1 kaiser roll (day-old)
1 bunch scallions
1 bunch parsley
100 grams Emmentaler cheese
2 vegetable oil
For the potatoes
800 grams waxy potatoes
1 onion
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
300 grams mixed Lettuce
2 Tbsps White vinegar
6 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 tsp Mustard
salt

Preparation steps

For the meatballs: Soak bread in lukewarm water. Trim and mince scallions and parsley. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and sauté scallions and parsley. Cut cheese into small cubes.

Squeeze out bread and mix with ground meat, egg, scallion mixture and cheese. Season with salt and pepper and form into eight patties. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and cook meatballs on all sides for 15 minutes.

For the potatoes: Peel and grate potatoes. Peel and mince onion. Heat butter and oil in a pan and cook onion.

Add potatoes to pan, press down slightly and cook over medium heat until golden yellow, flip carefully and cook until golden yellow. Remove and set aside.

Rinse lettuce and tear into bite-sized pieces. Quarter tomatoes. Whisk together vinegar, oil, mustard, salt and pepper to create a dressing and drizzle over lettuce and tomatoes.

Plate salad, meatballs and potatoes and serve.
