Ingredients
- Ingredients
- 250 grams Spinach
- 1 onion
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 100 grams dried Tomatoes
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 1 day-old White roll
- 1 kilogram Ground meat (mixed)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 80 grams breadcrumbs
Preparation steps
Rinse the spinach, spin dry and chop coarsely. Peel the onion and chop. Cook in hot oil until translucent and stir in the spinach. Chop the tomatoes coarsely, mix in and remove from the heat. Season with salt and pepper and let cool slightly.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).
Soak the bread in lukewarm water. Place the minced meat in a bowl. Add the expressed roll and the egg. Season with salt, pepper, thyme and marjoram and mix everything well. Add enough breadcrumbs so the mixture is easily malleable. Shape on a work surface strewn with crumbs to a rectangle about 1.5 cm (approximately 5/8 inch) thick. Spread the spinach on top and roll. Seal the edges and ends and press well. Carefully place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven until golden brown, about 1 hour.
Serve sliced. As desired, serve with a mixed salad.
