Preparation steps

1.

Cut the oregano leaves into strips and the mozzarella into thin slices.

2.

Arrange 2 slices of bread on a clean surface. Layer each with ham, mozzarella and oregano.

3.

Press each piece of bread with another slice to sandwich the filling.

4.

Beat the eggs and stir in the Parmesan. Put the 2 sandwiches in the egg mixture, turning repeatedly until the bread is soaked completely. Remove.

5.

Heat the olive oil and butter in a large frying pan over low heat. Add the sandwiches and sear until golden, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove and pat with a paper towel. Cut each sandwich on a diagonal and serve.
