- For the dough
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- 0.333 cup butter
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- For the filling
- ¼ cup butter
- ⅙ cup light brown sugar
- 0.333 cup chopped, roasted Hazelnuts
- ¾ cup Chocolate chip
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 190°C (170° fan) 375°F gas 5. Grease 12 muffin tins.
2.
Put the flour and salt into a mixing bowl. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Stir in the sugar.

Make a well in the centre and gradually add the milk and mix to a soft dough.
5.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 5mm|1/4" thick.
6.
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with the sugar, hazelnuts and chocolate chips.
7.
Roll up the dough from one long side, like a Swiss roll. Cut into 12 even sized rolls.
8.
Place cut side down in the muffin tins and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown on top. Cool in the tins for 5 minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
