Preparation steps

1.

Mix the flour, yeast, nuts, sugar and salt thoroughly in a bowl. Add 125 ml (approximately 1/2 cup) of lukewarm water and knead into a smooth, pliable dough.

2.

Cover the dough in a warm place for about 45 minutes. Let rest. Then knead the dough on a lightly floured surface and divide into 30 portions. Form each portion of dough into a 15 cm long, thin roll. Place on a parchment-lined baking tray with enough space between each and leave to rise for another 15 minutes.

3.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve once cooled as an appetizer.
