- 16 ozs hard, red Plum (pitted weight, halved)
- 4 Tbsps water
- 4 Tbsps chopped, ready-to-eat dried Prune
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- ¾ cup havled Walnut
Preparation steps
1.
Put the plums and water into a large heavy-based pan with the water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer gently until soft and pulpy. Stir in the prunes.
2.
Add both sugars and stir over a low heat until dissolved. Increase the heat and bring to a boil.
3.
Stir in the walnuts and boil rapidly until setting point is reached.
4.
Spoon into hot sterilised jars, cover, seal and label.
