16 ozs cooking Apple (peeled, cored and chopped)
32 ozs Plum (pitted and halved)
4 Tbsps water
6 cups sugar

Preparation steps

1.
Put the fruit and water into a large heavy-based pan. Heat gently to boiling point, then reduce the heat, cover the pan and simmer very gently until the fruit is soft – if it starts to stick to the pan add a little more water.
2.
Stir in the sugar until completely dissolved, then bring to a boil. Boil rapidly until setting point is reached.
3.
Spoon into hot sterilised jars, cover, seal and label.
