2 Tbsps sunflower oil
1 tsp sugar
salt
freshly ground peppers
800 milliliters Beef broth
250 milliliters Red wine
1 Bread
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp lemon juice

Preparation steps

1.

Peel the onions and cut into thin rings. Heat the oil in a saucepan and cook the onions until soft while slowly stirring for 10-15 minutes. Season with sugar, salt and pepper and simmer another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.

Pour in the broth and the wine, let soup boil then simmer for another 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 80°C.

From bread cut a small cover and hollow out the inside. Heat in the oven on the rack.

Peel garlic and squeeze into the soup, season with lemon juice, salt and pepper.

6.

Serve the soup in the bread.
