- 1 kilogram clam
- 400 grams Spaghetti
- salt
- 1 onion
- 4 scallions
- 2 Tbsps olive oil
- 100 milliliters dry white wine
- 100 milliliters Whipped cream
- freshly ground peppers
- 2 Tbsps freshly chopped parsley
Preparation steps

Rinse clams thoroughly and drain. Remove any opened clams and discard. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente.

Peel and slice onion into rings. Rinse, trim and cut scallions crosswise into rings. In a pan, sauté scallions and onion in hot oil until translucent, 1-2 minutes. Deglaze with wine and simmer a few minutes. Add clams. Cover and cook 4-5 minutes.

When all clam shells have opened (discard any that remain closed), stir in cream and season with salt and pepper. Toss pasta with clams and parsley and serve sprinkled with basil leaves and grated cheese, if desired.
