- Ingredients
- ½ Red Bell pepper
- ½ green Bell pepper
- ½ yellow Bell pepper
- 2 small onions
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 Tbsps White vinegar
- 2 Tbsps olive oil
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 250 grams blanched Tomatoes (canned)
- 250 grams Tuna (canned)
- 350 grams Rigatoni
- 1 Tbsp Caper
Preparation steps
1.
Rinse bell peppers, trim, cut in half, remove seeds and ribs and cut into approximately 1/2 cm (approximately 1/5 inch) small cubes. Peel onions and finely chop. Peel garlic and squeeze through a garlic press.
2.
Heat oil in a pan. Sauté onions in a pan until soft, add bell peppers and garlic and saute briefly. Add vinegar, boil, coarsely chop tomatoes, add tomatoes to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Add capers, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes.
3.
Flake tuna into small pieces, and fold into the sauce. Meanwhile, cook pasta in a pot with plenty of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain pasta and mix with the tuna-bell pepper sauce. Arrange on plates and serve.
