- 1 Lime
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 Tbsps olive oil
- 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice powder
- salt
- peppers
- 8 Cuttlefish (600 grams; ready to cook)
- 2 red Bell pepper
- 150 grams Tomatoes
- 1 stalk Thai basil
Preparation steps
1.
Squeeze lime juice. Peel garlic, squeeze through a garlic press and mix with oil, 5-spice mixture, half of lime juice, season with salt and pepper. Coat squid with marinade and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Rinse and dry bell peppers and tomatoes. Halve peppers and remove seeds and ribs, cut into strips.
3.
Heat pan and add squid with marinade and cook for 5 minutes, stirring. Add vegetables and saute for about 5 minutes on medium heat. Season with salt, pepper and lime juice.
4.
Rinse basil, shake dry and pluck off leaves. Place squid into 4 bowls and sprinkle with basil. Serve.
