1 Tbsp softened butter
300 milliliters Whipped cream
2 Tbsps freshly chopped Sage

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

Peel the potatoes and cut into thin slices. Halve the garlic and rub on the cut surfaces of the potatoes and the gratin dish. Grease the dish with the softened butter. Alternately layer the potatoes in the dish. Mix the cream, sage and cheese. Season heavily with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Pour the cream over the potatoes, so they are barely covered.

Bake for about 50 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve hot.
