Preparation steps

1.

For the dough, combine the flour, butter, salt and water. Knead into a smooth dough. Grease the baking dish. Put the dough on lightly floured surface and roll out thinly. Line the tart tin with it and trim the crust. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

2.

For the filling, rinse the pumpkin, peel and grate coarsely. Peel and dice the onions. Dice the bacon. Rinse the parsley and chives and shake dry. Chop the parsley finely and cut the chives into small rings. Set aside some chives for garnish. Grate the Emmentaler.  Mix together the sour cream, eggs and cheese. Season well with salt and pepper.

3.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Heat butter or oil in a pan. Saute the bacon with the onions until onions are translucent and bacon is beginning to crisp. Drain and set aside on  a paper towel. Combine all the prepared ingredients and spread on the dough. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Slice and serve.
