Quick Buttermilk Pancakes

Buttermilk is rich in proteins and at the same time contains little fat. Thus, it supports the development as well as the maintenance of our muscle mass. In addition, buttermilk is a great source of calcium, which can help prevent osteoporosis.
Depending on the season, the buttermilk pancakes can also be served with various summer berries and fruits.

- 2 tsps Baking powder
- 1 Tbsp Raw cane sugar

- 1 egg
- 9 ozs Buttermilk
- 3 Tbsps Canola oil
- 7 ozs mixed berries (blueberry, raspberry, blackberry)
- 1 Tbsp Maple syrup
Preparation steps
Put the dry ingredients in a bowl.
Mix the egg, milk and 3 tablespoons of oil with the dry ingredients until a homogeneous mass.
Heat remaining oil in a frying pan and fry pancakes in batches over medium heat for about 4 minutes until golden brown on both sides.
In the meantime, place berries in a saucepan and bring to a boil once over medium heat. Stir in maple syrup, remove from heat and serve with the finished buttermilk pancakes.
