Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 160°C (approximately 325°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Rinse and quarter the quince and the apples, cut into quarters, core and remove the seeds. Place on the baking sheet and bake 1 hour. Remove and let cool. Peel the apples and quince, cut into small pieces and puree. Transfer to a saucepan, add the preserving sugar and cook 5 minutes.

Spread the mixture on another parchment paper-lined baking sheet and let dry for 2-3 days. Cut into bite-sized, diamond shaped pieces and coat in granulated sugar. Store in an airtight container.
