Drain pineapple and apricots; reserving juice. Measure out 2 cups of juice; adding water if necessary.

Heat butter in a heavy bottomed saucepan. Combine sugar. cornstarch and cinnamon and add to butter. Stirring to incorporate. Add 2 cups of reserved juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly till thickened. Add fruit, stirring to coat and heat through.
