- 1 stale White roll
- 1 onion
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 30 grams chopped Pistachio
- 1 tsp thyme
- 500 grams mixed Ground meat
- 1 egg
- 2 tsps Dijon mustard
- salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil (for frying)
Preparation steps
1.
Soak roll in a bowl of water. Peel onion and chop finely. Heat butter in a pan and sauté onion until tender. Add pistachio and thyme to pan and stir.

Place ground meat in a large mixing bowl. Squeeze excess water from rolls. Mix ground meat, rolls, egg, mustard and onion-pistachio mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
3.
Divide meat into pieces. With damp hands, roll into meatballs. Heat oil in a pan and fry meatballs in batches on all sides for about 10 minutes. Serve with sauce and garnish with pistachios, if desired.
