- 2 onions
- 1 small Savoy cabbage (20-22 oz)
- 18 ozs carrots
- 2 Tbsps butter
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 1 Tbsp dried Vegetable broth
- salt
- freshly ground pepper
Preparation steps

Peel onion and cut into rings. Remove outer leaves of cabbage and quarter lengthwise. Remove core and coarsely slice leaves. Rinse cabbage leaves and drain.

Peel carrots, quarter lengthwise and cut into approximately 1/4-inch thick slices.

In a pot, cook onions in butter until translucent. Add cabbage and carrots and cook 3 minutes more. Add 5 cups of water. Season with salt and pepper. Add dried vegetable broth and dried marjoram and bring to a boil. Simmer until vegetables are al dente, 15-20 minutes. Add additional seasoning, if necessary.
