8 medium potatoes
olive oil
8 slices Mountain cheese (or Gruyere)
8 slices raw ham
1 Tbsp butter
salt

Preparation steps

1.

Halve the potatoes and lay them cut-side up in a large greased casserole dish. Season with salt, pepper and olive oil. Cook in a preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for 35 minutes. Remove and allow to cool slightly.

2.

Cut the cheese and ham slices in half. Place one half slice of cheese and one half slice of ham on each potato half loosely. Season with pepper.

3.

Put the potatoes back into the oven and cook at a higher temperature until the cheese begins to melt.
