1 Tbsp fresh thyme

2 cups canned chickpeas (drained)
2 red Bell pepper (sliced)

1 Pot, 1 Skillet, 1 Baking sheet, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Small knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Mortar, 1 Slotted spatula, 1 Citrus juicer

Preparation steps

Place 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet, sauté garlic slices and onion for four minutes until softened, then put aside.

Place remaining olive oil in the same skillet and sauté the beef until all sides are browned, about 8 minutes. Add the flour, making sure to evenly coat the beef. Continue cooking over low heat for 3 minutes.

Add all four cans of tomatoes, the cumin, turmeric, thyme, garlic and onions, salt and pepper and bring to a light boil.

Cover and cook over low heat for 45 minutes. Adding water if it is too thick. Add chickpeas and peppers and cook for another 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve.
