- 250 grams button Mushroom
- 200 grams grated Hard cheese (such as Edam)
- 200 grams grated Mozzarella
- 150 grams Prosciutto (thinly sliced)
- 2 Tbsps chopped parsley
Preparation steps
For the dough: mix flour with salt and pile on the work surface. Make a well in the center and add crumbled yeast and sugar to the well. Add about 80 ml (approximately 1/3 cup) of lukewarm water to the well and let stand for 20 minutes. Combine with oil and 100 ml (approximately 2/5 cup) of lukewarm water and knead into a smooth dough. If necessary, add more flour or water. Cover and let rise for about 1 hour in a warm place.
For the topping: heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pot. Peel and squeeze garlic through a garlic press. Saute in a pan until translucent and add tomato puree. Season with oregano, salt, pepper, sugar and vinegar. Simmer for approximately 10 minutes and season to taste.
Clean mushrooms and slice finely. Mix both cheeses and cut ham into pieces.
Oil two baking sheets. Divide dough into four portions and roll out to 4 cirlcles with thick edges. Arrange on baking sheets and spread with about 4 tablespoons of tomato sauce, leaving about 2 cm (approximately 3/4 inch) wide margin. Sprinkle with cheese and mushrooms, season with salt, pepper and oil. Bake in preheated oven at 250°C (approximately 475°F) for about 10 minutes or until edges are crisp.
Remove from the oven, sprinkle with ham and parsley and serve immediately.
