Preparation steps

Bring a pan of water to a boil. Carefully prick the rounded end of the egg with a pin. Lower the eggs into the pan of boiling water, covering them completely. Bring the water back to the simmering stage and cook the eggs for 3 to 4 minutes. Drain well and rinse the eggs under cold running water to stop the cooking process.

Remove the tops of the eggs with a few taps of a knife. Season the eggs to taste with salt and serve.
