Rinse the beans, trim and leave whole or cut in half, depending on the size. Peel the onion and garlic and chop finely. Blanch tomatoes for a few seconds in boiling water, rinse, peel, quarter, core and cut into cubes. Sauté onion in hot oil until soft. Add garlic and tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil with the savory stems, add spaghetti and beans and cook until al dente. Cut the bacon into strips and fry a pan until crisp, about 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels and crumble.

Drain the beans and spaghetti in a sieve, pick out the savory, mix with tomato, bacon and arugula and serve sprinkled with Parmesan to taste.
