1
- Ingredients
- Dough (for 1 loaf shape of 30 cm length)
- 100 grams Dark chocolate
- 4 eggs
- 200 grams soft butter
- 200 grams sugar
- 250 grams Pastry flour
- ½ packet Baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsps cocoa powder
- 125 milliliters dry Red wine
- butter (for greasing)
- Pastry flour (for dusting)
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Preparation steps
1.
Finely chop the chocolate. Separate the eggs. Beat the butter and sugar until light and creamy and then, in succession, mix in the egg yolks.
Combine the flour with the baking powder, cinnamon, cocoa and chocolate and then stir, alternately with the red wine, into the butter-cream.
Whisk the egg whites until stiff and gradually fold into the mixture.
2.
Grease the pan and dust with flour. Pour the batter into the pan evenly and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350ºF) for about 1 hour.
Let the cake rest in the pan briefly and then gently remove and allow to cool.
To serve, dust with powdered sugar and serve cut into slices.
