Rinse the zucchini, dry, and slice lengthwise into thin slices. Transfer to a plate, drizzle with lemon juice, and let rest for 15 minutes.

Rinse the chili and halve lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes, and finely dice. Toast the pine nuts in a dry pan until golden brown. Remove and let cool. Rinse and dry the basil.

Transfer the zucchini to a large bowl, and season with salt and pepper. Divide into 4 small bowls, then sprinkle with the chopped chili, the pine nuts, and the basil. Shave the parmesan with a vegetable peeler, then garnish the salad with the cheese. Drizzle with olive oil and serve.
