1 lemon
14 ozs Vegetable broth

Preparation steps

Rinse and trim the brussels sprouts, then cut in half. Rinse the lemon in hot water, pat dry, and finely grate the zest. Squeeze the juice. Bring the broth and lemon juice to a boil, then season to taste with salt and pepper.

Add the brussels sprouts to a steamer basket, and set over the broth (the steamer shouldn't come in contact with the broth). Cook for 15 minutes. Remove from the steamer, and transfer to plates. Season to taste with salt and pepper, then garnish with the lemon zest.
