- Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic cloves
- ¾ inch fresh ginger
- 2 ½ cups King prawn ready to cook (raw)
- 4 scallions (sliced into rings on the diagonal)
- 2 cups shiitake mushrooms (chopped)
- 2 Tbsps Nut oil
- 1 tsp Lime juice
- Chili powder
- 24 Wonton wrapper
Product recommendation
Use one large steamer or 4 individual ones. To cook, simply stack these on top of one another.
Preparation steps
1.
Finely chop the garlic, ginger and prawns in a food chopper.
2.
Put a little chopped green spring onion to one side and fry the rest with the mushrooms in 1 tbsp hot oil in a frying pan or wok. Remove and leave to cool.
3.
Mix the fried vegetables with the prawn paste and season with lime juice, salt and chilli. Place around 1 tbsp in the centre of each wonton wrapper, fold the edges up and press together well to form small cups (use water to 'glue' in place if necessary). Transfer to an oiled bamboo steamer.
4.
Cover and steam over a hot water bath for around 10 minutes. Sprinkle with the reserved spring onion and serve with a dip of soy sauce, for example.
