Strip Steak with Asparagus Garnish

2 inches thick cut, strip Steak (New York)
3 Tbsps Worcestershire sauce
kosher salt
cracked Black pepper
3 Tbsps extra virgin olive oil (divided)
10 Asparagus (spears)
2 Tbsps lemon juice

Preparation steps

1.
Pat the steaks dry. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire and salt and pepper to both sides of each strip steak.

Place the asparagus on a foiled lined baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil and lemon juice over the asparagus and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place the asparagus in the oven.

Place a cast iron pan or stainless pan (oven safe) over medium high heat. Drizzle the 1 tablespoon of olive oil into pan. When the pan is super hot add the steaks. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until a good crust forms. Flip over and immediately and shut off the heat to the pan. Put the pan into the oven. Cook for 4-5 minutes for rare and 5-7 minutes for medium rare or medium. When done, remove the steak and asparagus from the oven. Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
