Ingredients
for
4
- Ingredients
- 4 stale White rolls
- 120 milliliters milk
- 1 onion
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsps chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tsp hot Mustard
- salt
- peppers
- breadcrumbs (as needed)
- 8 Hot dogs
- 8 slices ham (very thin slices)
Preparation steps
1.
Slice the rolls and place in a bowl. Boil the milk, pour over the bread slices and let stand about 10 minutes. Peel the onion and finely chop. Saute in hot oil until translucent. Remove from the heat and add with the egg and the parsley to the rolls. Season with the mustard, salt and pepper and mix well. The mixture should be easy to work with, so add some milk or breadcrumbs if needed.
2.
Cut the hot dogs lengthwise and fill with the bread mixture. Press evenly and wrap with the ham. If necessary, secure with toothpicks and cook on a hot grill, turning occasionally, 15 minutes or until golden brown.
3.
Serve with grilled onion wedges, if desired.
