Preparation steps

Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl. Then add the quark, milk, egg, sunflower oil, up to 2 tablespoons of the sunflower seeds and the salt. With the dough hook of an electric mixer knead everything into a smooth dough. Then, on a floured surface, shape the dough into a long rope, roll the rope up in spiral and place in a springform pan greased with vegetable oil (24 cm, or approximately 9 inches, in diameter).

Beat the egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of water and brush over the top of the bread. Sprinkle with the remaining sunflower seeds and bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack and serve fresh.
