Ingredients
for
16
- For the dough
- 150 grams Quark
- 6 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 2 packets Vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 300 grams Pastry flour
- ½ packet Baking powder
- For the filling
- 350 grams Quark
- 3 Tbsps Whipped cream
- 1 egg
- 5 Tbsps sugar
- 2 tsps Lemon peel
Preparation steps
1.
For the dough, mix quark, oil, egg, vanilla sugar and salt. Add flour with baking powder and knead.
2.
For the filling, stir together quark with cream, egg, sugar and lemon zest.
3.
Roll out the dough on lightly floured surface thin (thickness of the back of a knife), cut out squares of about 10 x 10 cm (approximately 4 x 4 inches) and place 1 tablespoon filling into the center of each square. Mix yolk well with milk. Brush the area around filling with the beaten egg yolk, fold dough inward and gently squeeze.
4.
Lay the dumplings on a lined baking tray, brush with the remaining egg yolk and bake in the center of a preheated oven (200°C, approximately 400°F) until they are nicely browned, about 20 minutes. Remove and let cool.
