- Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsps Baking powder
- 5 Tbsps sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ cup olive oil
- water
Preparation steps
1.
Heat a barbecue or grill.
2.
Mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl.
3.
Stir in the oil and enough water to form a smooth dough. Divide the dough into 12 even sized balls.
4.
Roll each ball into a thin rope, about 2.5cm|1" inch wide and 20cm|8" long. Wrap the dough around thin sturdy sticks.
5.
Place the sticks on the barbecue or under the grill and cook for about 5 minutes, rotating them so that the bread cooks evenly. Watch carefully to prevent the bread burning. Serve immediately.
