3 Tbsps olive oil
1 onion (finely chopped)
2 cloves garlic cloves (finely chopped)
cup Red wine
3 cups canned Tomatoes
1 Tbsp tomato puree
½ tsp sugar
salt

2 Tbsps italian breadcrumbs
2 Tbsps grated Parmesan

Preparation steps

1.
Bring a large pan of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions.
2.
Heat the oil in a pan and gently cook the onions until soft. Add the garlic, cook for 1 minute, then add the wine.
3.
Allow the wine to bubble for 1 minute, then add the tomatoes and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the tomato puree and sugar and season to taste with salt and pepper.
4.
Stir the sauce into the drained spaghetti and place on warm serving plates.
5.
Sprinkle with the breadcrumbs and cheese and garnish with basil and oregano.
