100 grams sugar
250 grams Pastry flour
2 Vanilla bean (scraped seeds)
200 grams butter (in flakes)
100 grams ground almonds
1 pinch salt
powdered sugar

Preparation steps

1.

Mix sugar with vanilla.

Mix about 2/3 of vanilla sugar with remaining ingredients. Knead into a smooth dough, shape into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Roll dough into a log shape and separate into walnut-sized pieces. Shape into crescents and place on a lined baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for 10 minutes. Remove, cool and roll in remaining vanilla sugar and powdered sugar. Serve.
