- 4 Cod (150 g each)
- 3 Tbsps lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp flour
- 1 cup milk (3.5% fat)
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- ¼ tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp Nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp medium hot Mustard
- ½ tsp Curry powder
- 1 ½ cups carrots (finely sliced)
- ¾ cup Leeks (finely sliced)
- butter (for the casserole dish)
- 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
- 2 Tbsps Crème fraiche
Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180C (160C) 375 F, gas 5.

Wash the fish and pat dry. Sprinkle with lemon juice and allow to sit for 5-10 minutes.

Melt the butter in a pan. Stir in the flour and cook until the flour begins to brown. Use a whisk to stir in the milk.

Bring the sauce to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Season with the salt, pepper, sugar, nutmeg, mustard and curry.

Lightly grease a casserole dish with the butter. Put the carrots and leek in the dish, arrange the fish pieces on top and sprinkle with the parsley.

Mix the creme fraiche into the sauce and season to taste. Pour over the fish.

Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes.
