- 220 grams Pastry flour
- 80 grams peeled, ground almonds
- 120 grams sugar
- ½ tsp grated Lemon peel
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 100 grams melted butter
- 1 egg
- 175 milliliters Buttermilk
- 250 grams slivered almonds
- 3 Tbsps sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Preparation steps

Combine flour, almonds, sugar, lemon zest, baking soda and baking powder. Stir in oil, egg and buttermilk with a hand mixer. Spread batter into a pan lined with parchment paper.

Combine flaked almonds, sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle onto batter. Bake cake in an oven preheated to 200°C (approximately 390°F) for about 25 to 30 minutes. Remove, slice and serve.
