Nutritional values
Figs are high in fiber, magnesium, potassium, and Vitamin A, while almonds provide you with healthy fats and a lot of protein. These ingredients combined together create a very well-rounded snack or dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth and fill you up!
You can always change the type of nuts used in this recipe in case of allergies or taste preference, and you can substitute the honey for maple syrup for a more caramelized flavor.

Ingredients
- Ingredients
- 16 ripe, juicy Figs
- 6 Tbsps honey
- 2 Tbsps lemon juice
- 100 grams chopped almonds
Preparation steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Cut the figs crosswise (making an 'x') and gently pull the edges out to open them up. Set in an ovenproof dish, drizzle with 2 tablespoons of honey and lemon juice. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes until soft.
Meanwhile, toast the almonds until golden brown in a dry frying pan. Remove from pan and cool.
Transfer the figs to a plate and fill each with the almonds. Drizzle with the remaining honey and serve.
