Put the apples in the slow cooker and toss with the lemon juice. If the apples

After cooking, remove the cinnamon stick from the crock pot. Purée the cooked apples in a food processor, or in the cooker with a handheld immersion blender. Add sugar to taste, if desired. Serve immediately or refrigerate and serve cold. The applesauce will keep, tightly covered, for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
