250 grams Glutinous rice flour
50 grams Rice flour
4 Tbsps brown sugar
2 tsps Baking powder
Rice flour (to work)
80 grams Sesame seeds
Peanut oil (for frying)

Preparation steps

Mix both types of flour with the brown sugar and baking powder in a bowl. Add as much lukewarm water (about 250 ml) to the flour to knead a smooth dough that no longer sticks to the bowl edges. Let the dough rest covered for about 10 minutes.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface into about 5 mm thick and cut out round cookies (about 5 cm diameter). Coat the cookies on both sides with the sesame seeds and fry in portions in hot oil on both sides until golden brown for 4-5 minutes.

Drain the fried cookies on paper towels and serve.
