125 grams salted butter

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the asparagus. Peel the white asparagus thoroughly, and cut off the lower ends. Peel the lower third of the green asparagus only and cut off the tough end pieces.

2.

Cook the white asparagus in boiling salted water with sugar and butter for about 20 minutes. Add the green asparagus after 5 minutes of cooking, and continue to simmer together.

3.

Melt the butter. Drain the asparagus, drizzle with melted butter and serve alongside the ham.
