Nutritional values
With its high content of silicic acid, spelt is good for skin, hair and nails. Hazelnuts contain valuable protein and essential fatty acids; raisins provide natural sweetness, minerals and additional fibre.
The stuffed apple is quicker to cook in the microwave: Place in a suitable form with lid, add 4 tablespoons of water and close the lid. Cook at 600 watts for 7-10 minutes as desired.

Preparation steps
Mix together spelt and apple juice in a small bowl and let soak for 1 hour.
Finely puree spelt mixture with hazelnuts and raisins in a mini food processor. Season with cinnamon.
Rinse apple and wipe dry. Cut off the upper part and reserve as a lid. Thoroughly cut out core.
Place apple in a small baking dish and fill with spelt mixture. Replace apple "lid," pour 3 tablespoons water into the baking dish and bake in preheated oven at 400°F/convection 350°F until apple is soft, about 20 minutes. Remove, let cool slightly, check temperature and feed.
