Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Grease 4 glass jars with butter. Rinse the apples and remove the cores. Mix the orange juice and zest with the marzipan and candied orange. Add the apples and pour the mixture into the glasses.

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the sugar, nuts and milk. Let simmer. Spread over the apples and bake for about 20 minutes. Remove the jars from the oven and seal immediately.

3.

Serve the apples with a rich vanilla sauce.
