½ Orange
40 grams dried Dried apricot
120 grams Marzipan
2 Tbsps Rum
80 grams mixed Nut (such as almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts)
5 Tbsps raisins
4 Russet apples
3 Tbsps butter (for the mold)
powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preparation steps

Preheat a convection oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Rinse the oranges in hot water and wipe dry. Remove the zest from half of an orange, and chop finely. Squeeze the juice from the orange. Finely dice the apricots. Crush the Marzipan and mix with the rum and orange juice. Coarsely chop the nuts. Mix together the apricot, raisins, and nuts. Rinse the apples, remove the core, and hollow the apple without breaking the apples. Slice each horizontally 3 times. Fill each slice with the nut mixture, and repeat the process 2 more time for each apple. Grease a baking dish with butter. Place the filled apples in the baking dish and cover with apples with dabs of butter. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and bake for 30-40 minutes.
