- 4 medium sized Artichoke
- salt
- lemon juice
- 4 Tbsps freshly grated Parmesan
- 3 Tbsps breadcrumbs
- 6 Tbsps Whipped cream
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 Tbsps freshly chopped Fresh herbs (such as basil, parsley, oregano, thyme)
- freshly ground peppers
- butter (for the dish)
- 2 Tbsps butter
Preparation steps
Rinse artichokes, trim, remove outer leaves and reveal fleshy part. Cut in half lengthwise. Cook artichokes in salted boiling water with a squeeze of lemon juice for about 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400F°.
Meanwhile, mix Parmesan with breadcrumbs and cream. Peel garlic, press and add to mixture along with herbs. Season with salt and pepper.
Remove artichokes, drain well and place in a buttered baking dish. Fill with cheese mixture. Cover with knobs of butter. Bake in oven for 15 minutes. Remove and arrange on plates. Serve.
