4 Steak fillet (from the hip each 180-200 grams)
200 grams grated Emmentaler cheese

Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F).

Peel onions and cut into rings. Rinse bell peppers, cut in half, remove seeds and ribs and cut into thin strips. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a frying pan, saute onions for 2 minutes, add bell peppers and cook together for 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, remove from the pan and set aside.

Brown meat on all sides in remaining oil in the frying pan. Cover pieces of meat with 3/4 of cheese and distribute vegetable mixture over it. Cover with remaining cheese and season with freshly ground pepper. Bake about 10 minutes in the oven.

Serve immediately with fries or potato wedges if desired.
