Baked Ham and Cheese Filled Bread

Nutritional values
This party hit is not only a culinary delight, but it is also very healthy, especially for the cardiovascular system. The dietary fibers from whole wheat flour and oat flakes help to excrete more bile acids, which our body needs for the digestion of fat. It gets cholesterol from the blood, the building material for bile acids. In this way the cholesterol level in the blood is brought back into balance.
If you prefer no meat, you can create a "four cheese bread" instead. Simply grate 3.5 ounces of Parmesan, Emmental, Mozzarella, and Gorgonzola and wrap it in the dough.

Ingredients
- For the dough
- 1 cube fresh Yeast (1.5 oz.)
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 21 ozs Pastry flour
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 4 Tbsps sunflower oil
- Pastry flour (for working surface)
- 3 ozs Oats
- For the filling
- 7 ozs grated Cheese (such as Emmentaler)
- 12 ozs cooked ham
- 1 egg
- 3 Tbsps Semolina flour
- 3 Tbsps Crème fraiche
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 2 Tbsps chopped parsley
Preparation steps
For the dough, mix yeast and sugar in 1 cup of lukewarm water.
Mix flour with salt. Mix yeast water and oil into the flour and form a smooth dough. Add more flour or lukewarm water as needed to reach the correct consistency.
Knead dough until it is no longer sticking to the side of the bowl. Then place dough in a bowl and leave to rise for about 1 hour in a warm place.
For the filling, mix cheese with diced ham. Add egg, semolina and crème fraîche and season with salt, pepper and parsley.
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Roll out dough on a floured work surface into a 20 x 16-inch rectangle. Pour filling in the center of the rectangle covering a space approximately 8 x 10 inches. Fold the edges of the dough in so that the ends meet in the middle. Press dough edges into each other and allow bread to rest again for about 15 minutes.
Then sprinkle with a little water and sprinkle with oats. Place dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place in the oven. Bake for 45-55 minutes until golden brown.
Remove and let cool completely. To serve, cut into pieces and serve with toothpicks as party snacks.
