150 grams cooked ham
2 eggs
1 onion
2 Tbsps butter
2 Tbsps Pastry flour
salt (and pepper)
1 bunch Chives
l Whipped cream
l milk
100 grams grated Emmentaler cheese
6 slices Whole Wheat Toast
butter (for brushing)

Preparation steps

1.

Cut ham into cubes. Peel onion and chop finely. Heat butter in a pan and sauté onion and ham briefly. Sprinkle onion and ham with flour.

Separate eggs and add egg yolks to cooled ham mixture. In a bowl, mix together grated cheese, milk and cream and season with salt and pepper.

3.

Beat egg whites until very stiff beating and carefully fold into cheese mixture. Rinse chives, shake dry, cut into rolls and stir into cheese mixture.

4.

Butter slices of bread and cover with ham mixture and cheese mixture. Preheat the oven to 175°C (approximately 350°F) and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.
