The dessert does not contain any sugar at all, because its main ingredient provides enough sweetness: bananas contain three natural sugars, sucrose, fructose and glucose, which provide a quick energy boost that is especially appreciated by athletes. The fruit also contains the precursor of serotonin. Serotonin is known for its relaxing effect, lifts the mood and helps to feel generally happier.
When buying condensed milk, make sure that it is an unsweetened product. Sweetened it is too thick for this recipe and provides unwanted extra calories.

- 2 Banana
- 1 pc fresh ginger (about 10 grams)
- 8 Tbsps condensed milk (skimmed)
- 4 sheets Phyllo dough
- 2 Tbsps Canola oil
- 2 tsps Shredded coconut
- Lemon balm (to taste)

Preparation steps
Rinse lime half with hot water and wipe dry. Finely grate zest, then squeeze juice.
Remove banana peel and cut banana into small pieces. In a bowl, mix bananas with lime zest and juice.
Peel and finely grate ginger root. In a small bowl, combine ginger and milk. Let stand briefly to infuse.
Lay dough on work surface. Place 1/4 of the banana pieces in the middle.
Fold dough over the banana filling on all sides to form a little package. Press together to seal. Form three more packages.
Heat the oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook strudels over medium heat on both sides until golden brown.
Pour the ginger-milk mixture through a strainer into another small bowl. Divide strudels among plates, sprinkle with coconut and drizzle with ginger-milk.
