2 cloves garlic cloves (finely chopped)
3 Tbsps Pine nuts (toasted)
cup grated Parmesan

14 ozs Tagliatelle

Pesto keeps for several weeks if covered with a little olive oil and kept in a tightly closed jar in the fridge.

Preparation steps

1.
Process the basil, garlic and pine nuts in a blender. Add the cheese (reserving approx. 2 tbsp) and season with a pinch of salt and ground black pepper. Gradually add the olive oil and mix well.

Cook the tagliatelle in plenty of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain in a sieve and return to the pan.
3.
Mix the pesto with the pasta, arrange on plates and serve, sprinkled with the remaining Parmesan.
