Preparation steps

1.

Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente according to the package directions.

Rinse, trim, remove the seeds, and dice the tomatoes. Rinse, dry, and remove the basil leaves from the stalk.

Peel and finely chop the garlic. Heat the oil in a pan, and cook over medium heat until soft.

Add the tomatoes, sauté for 2 minutes, then season with salt and pepper. Fold in the basil and remove from the heat.

5.

Drain the pasta, reserving 2 tablespoons of the pasta water. Add to the tomato mixture, then divide onto 4 plates and serve.
